About the event

The AP Government and Politics exam consists of two parts:

  1. Multiple-Choice Questions: This section includes around 55 multiple-choice questions, and you have 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete it. Each question has four answer choices.
  2. Free-Response Questions: This section contains four free-response questions:One question asks you to analyze and interpret documents. You have 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete this question. One concept application question with 20 minutes for completion. Two argumentation essay questions, with 25 minutes for each.

To excel in the AP Government and Politics exam, focus on understanding the structure and operation of the U.S. government, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. Practice interpreting political documents, analyzing court cases, and applying political theories to contemporary situations.
